Dexter season 1A serial killer is the good guyThis is a very demented show. It's about a serial killer who works in forensics but kills other serial killers in his own brand of vigilante justice. After adjusting to how dark and creepy both the main character and the things being investigated are, it's a good show. Well written and acted and the first season comes together with its story very well. I can't wait for season two on DVD so I can watch that!A-
Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles (Season 1)What happens between the second and third movie with Sarah ConnorThe show is about what happens with John and Sarah Connor between movies two and three. It started out well with some very good ideas that they have developed and kept consistent. I enjoyed it and look forward to more.A-
Day BreakDetective Bret Hopper keeps reliving the same day again and againThis is an awesome TV show, which is why it was canceled early. It had great writing. It really dealt with everything in a very good way. It had good actors. Things came together at the end. The only good thing right now is that it is all at abc.com so you can watch it all, even if it is from the computer. Do it! Maybe it will help it in some way.A
JourneymanA man travels through time trying to make things betterWhile it sounds like a Quantem Leap sequel, it wasn't. The main character actually disappeared and went to the past. What happened to him there was still with him in the present. It was a really good show that was canceled too soon. A-
Chuck (Season 1)An everyman becomes a spyChuck is the story about a guy who gets all of the US's secrets put into his head. So, he is watched and protected by two other spies. At times, he recognizes things and helps them uncover a plot, while still trying to keep his secret, his job and his life. Very funny show.B+
24One day in the life of counter terrorist agent Jack Bauer. Wow! The show was good from the get go and has gotten better with every season, instead of worse as they tend to do. Season five was extremely good, much better than the previous seasons. It needed them to set up what has come but is still quite good. A
LostSurvivors of a plane crash find out the island they are on has its own dangersAs I write this review at the end of season 3, I find it tough to summarize what I have seen so far. Seasons 1 and 2 blew me away. They were that good. And I was hoping they would revitalize drama shows instead of reality. However, season 3 started slow and didn't have as much payoff as I hoped. By now, I am expecting to get some answers along with any new questions, not just more questions. It's still a good show, though, so I will be there when it starts again.B+
Penn and Teller's BullshitPenn and Teller take a look at things and expose any shit they findI love this show! If I have anything bad to say about it, it's that they swear only because they can. And that can detract from the intelligence in the show. They debunk things such as people who speak to the dead, alternative medicines and being the best. It's edutainment at its finest as it takes a good look at things that we sometimes do because we are told to and maybe we should ask some more questions.A-
MI-5A look at domestic problems in EnglandThis English show is about MI-5, there equivalent to the FBI, or domestic police. It is a rivoting show that drew me in with good stories and kept me involved to find out what happened to the characters. This is good TV.A
TorchwoodA spin off from Doctor WhoThis show is about a secret group in England who are trying to help against the alien threat. Apparently, the 21st century is where it all starts. Unfortunately, the show puts most of its weak episodes at the front and some of them really make you wonder why the team is still together. By the second half, though, the stories are very good and I have to think hard to remember some of the bad things. I hope they are able to keep that up for the second series.B
