JunoA teenager deals with pregnancyI don't know why I didn't see this movie before. Probably because the idea of it didn't interest me. However, this was done very well. The well written script and good cast carry this movie very well. The dialog is believable and it still has its humor as well. B+
Shoot Em UpMindless actionAs long as the viewer accepts the outrageous things that happen in the movie, it's a good movie. If the viewer can't, they won't last very long. Clive Owen's character gets pulled into saving a women, which leads to a bigger story. Again, mostly mindless action but there is some story there.B-
Wall-EA lone robot is left on earth until another robot shows up and changes everything.Wall-E is a very good and cute movie. It's a Pixar animation and they did a great job with it. Wall-E is lovable right away and his story is great.A+
Incredible HulkDr. Bruce Banner is still trying to find a cure and running from those who would use him.My wife has gotten sick of the comic book movies and I can understand that. Many of them are shallow and focus more on the cool abilities rather than the story. However, this is not one of those movies. This movie shines, with Edward Norton in the titular role. He is very believable as Banner. Tim Roth is great as his nemesis as well. A very good story driven movie. And, again, with a surprise at the end. I hope the trend continues because I like the continuity.A-
Iron ManA new comic book heroThis was a very good movie. It handled the origin very well. Robert Downey Jr. does a great job of being Tony Stark and his realization of what he has done. I also like movies about repentence although this one doesn't dwell on that, both a plus and minus. The extra scene at the end was good as well.A
The PrestigeTwo rival magicians battle it out in the early 20th centuryThis was only an okay movie. The big thing I didn't like about it was how ambiguous it was. There was no clear cut winner, in terms of a good or bad guy. Someone "won" and it's tough to say if they deserved it or not. I don't like that kind of ambiguity in my entertainment. That's not the only thing I didn't like. I didn't like some of the tricks, especially the big ones. And since I guessed several of the big reveals, they didn't seem as shocking to me, and probably add to the let down of the movie. It's not a terrible movie but I didn't find it good either.C
Children Of MenA dystopian future where no children have been born for 18 years. This is a good movie. It seems to be the more downtrodden sibling of V For Vendetta. Whereas in V For Vendetta, I came away thinking that things are going to be okay, but that wasn't the case here. It was more like this was the first step and they have a long way to go. It was done well, though. The violent scenes were very effective at showing how casual they had become with violence.B+
Shrek the ThirdShrek is backA very good, enjoyable movie. Not as solid as the first one but still quite good. I had a lot of fun watching it. B+
Spider Man 3Spider Man is backThis was a very good movie. I was worried it was going to have too much happening in it but they did a good job with it. The scenes with Harry were done well and I thought Sandman was very well done. Even the Venom/Brock storyline was done well. There were a few things that were a bit shallow but the movie still did a good job with everything. A
The Good ShepardA look at the beginning of the CIAThis is an interesting movie but it is not an entertaining movie. It is too long for one thing. And it isn't focused enough, imo. It needed to show better why the person was so dedicated to his country. It did have some good scenes here and there but they didn't add up to a good movie.C-
